We are very excited to bring Telemann’s Matthäus-Passion of 1746 to you – our foray into the wonderfully diverse world of the Baroque Passion. The Passion story inspired Telemann to lift his pen many times throughout his life; we hope that you will discover the text anew in the raw simplicity of this setting.
It is a great pleasure and honour to be returning to two churches very close to our hearts. In 2022 our Weihnachts-Oratorium project received a very warm welcome in the Spitalskirche, Innsbruck and in the Pfarrkirche St. Georgen bei Bruneck; we look forward very much to presenting this rousing Passion in these wonderful places.
